In continuation with the tradition of securing university ranks, the students of Jhulelal Institute of Technology, Nagpur have brought laurels to the college this year also by securing meritorious positions. The students have performed exceptionally well as ten students have secured nine ranks out of the top ten university ranks in the second semester M.Tech VLSI (CBCS) Summer 2018 examination. Ms. Amber Sana Shamshad Sheikh has ranked first at the university level while Ms. Kajal Dhawale has ranked second. Ms. Divyani Shende is third, Ms. Rekha Sharma is fourth while Ms. Neha Chauhan has secured fifth position. The sixth rank is shared by Ms. Subhashini Sarode and Ms. Anjum Nuzhat.  Ms. Tanushree Khorgade has ranked seventh, Ms. Shumaila Khan is ninth and Ms. Shriya Rahate has secured the tenth position. It is a matter of great joy, honor and pride for JIT as it has continued its legacy of securing top ranks in various engineering university examinations. Ms. Khushbu Lalwani and Ms. Girishma Batra, students of M.tech VLSI, had secured first and second university rank respectively in the overall M.Tech VLSI degree in Summer 2017. The students of JIT have continued to add new success stories this year also.

JIT took a significant step in the collaboration with CADD Training Center for the benefit of the students. From JIT Dr. Narendra Bawane, Principal JIT, Prof. Amar Kawale, Head Mechanical Engg were signee and from CADD Training Center Sadar, Swapnil Manoharrao Udapurkar, Centre Head, signed it. CADD Training Center has more than 27 years of experience in providing quality practical training to mechanical engineering students. This MoU provides platform to conduct the CAD/CAE/CAE training for the students of JIT. The main objective of MoU is to provide the exposure of the database to the students so that students are ready to work in industry from day one. The students of Electronics & Telecommunication department, Jhulelal Institute of Technology, visited Suzlon Wind Farm, Chikhaldara. The purpose of this visit was to give a practical exposure to the students regarding electrical power generation through Renewable Energy sources.

The students were enlightened about the electrical power generation, its transmission and distribution. They also got acquainted with the various equipments used in the process like generators, the wind mill, turbines and also the process of power generation through windmills. The students had a brief discussion with the officers and engineers of the plant. It was an incredible and unparallel experience for all the students.
