Industrial Visit to Adani Wilmar Limited, Manegaon

Jhulelal Institute of Technology’s, Department of Business Administration recently organized an industrial visit to Adani Wilmar Limited, Manegaon, Saoner Nagpur.

 

Adani Wilmar is a leading brand in the consumer edible oils segment. Its brand Fortune tops the consumer’s choice in branded edible oils. Today, the firm presnts various categories of oils such as soyabean, sunflower, mustard, rice bran, cottonseed, groundnut and blended oil.

 

The visit was a great experience for the students as they learnt the manufacturing process of the soyabean oil in Nagpur plant, procurement of raw material, cleaning and extraction of oils, production of by- products-soya cakes( used for cattle feeding) and lecithin used in chocolate and food products and packaging of the products. The plant has a capacity of 200 Metric tones production per day and employee strength of over 130 employees. Students also learned logistics and supply chain management of the product in the plant.

 

Mr Anil Pendse, Manager Human Resources guided the students throughout the tour. He explained the operations in the industry and also explained the scope of MBA graduates in the company.

Two days workshop on “Introduction to MATLAB”

Jhulelal Institute of Technology’s Department of Electrical Engineering organized a Two day workshop on Introduction To MATLAB” on 05 & 06 February 2019.  Prof. Piyush Patil, Asst. Prof., YCCE Nagpur & Staff from JIT, Nagpur were the resource person. Workshop emphasized on various tools and their working with practical conditions in electrical subjects. The students were enriched by his vast experience and knowledge. The workshop received overwhelming response from students.
