Jhulelal Institute of Technology visited Technobase IT Solutions, Laxminagar, Nagpur

Students of Computer Science and Engineering Department of Jhulelal Institute of Technology visited Technobase IT Solutions, Nagpur. The company deals in various domains like digital business, marketing, ecommerce, web development, iOS development, android development, and search engine optimization.

 

Mr Vaibhav Deshpande, Managing Director of Technobase IT Solutions interacted with the students. He gave a brief  introduction about the company. He also mentioned the domains in  which the company  is working. During the visit Mr Deshpande briefed the students about Big Data, IOT, Blockchain. The students were benefited from  the session and also acquired knowledge about scripting languages. Industrial Visit to Giriraj Industries

Jhulelal Institute of Technology’s, Department of Business Administration recently organized an Industrial visit to Giriraj Industries, Kalmeshwar MIDC Nagpur.

Giriraj Industries is plastic rope manufacturing company in Nagpur. The company is known for its quality manufacturing process and sale of high quality PP ropes in India.

 

The visit was a great experience for the students as they learnt the manufacturing process of the Industry, procurement of raw material and marketing strategies of the company.

 

Mr Vijay Sarda, Director Giriraj Industries, guided the students throughout the tour and explained the manufacturing of poly propylene ropes in the industry.

Jhulelal Institute of Technology organized Short Term Training Program on “Emerging Trends in Management for Sustainable Management”

Jhulelal Institute of Technology’s Department of Business Administration organised a week long, Short Term Training Programme (STTP) from 27th to 31 August 2018 on ‘Emerging Trends in Management for Sustainable Development – 2018’ under the aegis of ISTE.

The training program had number of experts from renowned education institutes and industries. Dr. Gajavelli V.S., Professor IMT, Dr. Sujit Metre, Professor DBIMSR, Dr. Amjad Khan GM, Human Resource, CEAT Ltd, Dr. Pratiksha Mayee, Head R&D, Ankur Seeds Pvt. Ltd, and Dr. Anjali Joshi, Yoga Consultant and Coordinator, National Women Yoga Board.

Dr. Gajavelli V.S. in his session stressed upon the three Ps (Profit, People and Planet Earth)   has to consider for facing emerging challenges for sustainable development. He further said that, for the development of the world at large, countries cannot ignore the responsibilities towards Mother Nature.

Dr. Sujit Metre talked on the most discussed topic in India ‘Cryptocurrency’. He shared how cryptocurrency works and why crypto being preferred over traditional monetary system. He also mentioned various positives and flaws of cryptocurrency.

Dr. Amzad Khan shared various enriching experiences and examples of industries on which industries are working hard for sincerely addressing the issue of sustainable development.

Dr. Pratiksha Mayee in her session talked about the importance of society, economy and environment for proper sustainable development. She emphasised that if any county want sustainable development it need to go for tripod development (i.e. social, economic and environmental). She further included that countries need to work on every facet of tripod as excess development among any of the three will not lead to sustainability.

Dr. Anjali Joshi conduced an enriching session on life sustainability. She emphasised that for contributing towards development of society and country it is important that each individual must be healthy from mind and body then only they can really work for sustainable development.

The participants of the STTP visit TATA TAL Mihan on 31st August where they visited the various work stations and got enriched experience from industrial visit.

At the outset, Dr. Surekha Jichkar, Professor JIT MBA Department gave the welcome address. The program was conducted under kind guidance of Dr. Swati Rahate, Convenor of STTP & HOD MBA Department. Industrial Visit to Shamlax Metachem Private Limited

Jhulelal Institute of Technology’s, Department of Business Administration recently organized an Industrial visit to Shamlax Metachem Private Limited, Kamptee Road, Nagpur.

The company was established in 1990. During last two decades it has developed a number of products in Foundry Industry. Its latest innovative meds product is color changing, water resistant & solvent based refractory Coating which has made the company globally competitive.

 

The visit started with presentation by Mr. Sushil Sharma, Director Technical, Shamlax Metachem about his journey and his new innovative products and he explained the marketing techniques to the students and focused on Blue Ocean Marketing Strategy. The visit was a great experience for the students as they learnt the Manufacturing process of the Industry, procurement of raw material and export procedures of the company.

The project prepared by final year students of Electrical Engineering Department, Jhulelal Institute of Technology was adjudged as best innovation & bagged 1st positions in Mayor Innovation Awards organized by National Municipal Cooperation, Nagpur with prize of Rs.21,000/- by the hands of Hon’ble Shri. Nitin Gadkari , Union Cabinet Minister for Road Transport & Highways, Govt. of India. The title of the project was “Automatic Solar Panel Cleaning System”.

The mechanism is designed with the help of motors, rolling push back system & IOT for removing the dust in the PV modules to improve the power efficiency with was the main problem statement covered under literature survey. A cleaning assembly operates to clean a surface of the solar panels. A support frame supports the cleaning assembly and enables the cleaning assembly to move upwardly and downwardly in the width direction of the solar row, and in the length direction of the solar row.

JIT students received 1st prize in Project competition

The project prepared by final year students of Electrical Engineering Department, Jhulelal Institute of Technology bagged 1st position in Project competition organized by Gurunanak Institute of engineering & Technology, Nagpur. The title of the project was “Electric Wheelchair”.

 

This project is related with Android phone controlled wheel chair system by using Android App and voice recognition. This System is designed to control a wheel chair by using the android app and voice recognition. The main objective of this project is to facilitate and increase the movement of people who are handicapped and elderly people who are not able to move the wheelchair faster because of their disabilities.
