Jhulelal Institute of Technology is one of the leading educational institutes in central India. JIT has also hosted four international conferences so far & produced more than 215 university rankers in a short span, creating a bench mark. JIT is committed to the holistic development of students, nurturing their latent talents, ingenuity and creativity and instilling sense of discipline and orality. Our aim not prepare our students for university examination but to ensure their 360-degree overall development. Our emphasis is to provide outcome based education that will make our students employable and help them to become lifelong learner. Our entire teaching and non-teaching staff as well as Management are committed to the welfare of the students to help them in exploring and enriching excellence within themselves.
Academic Qualification
Dr. Narendra G. Bawane is an IITian with total teaching experience of more than 28 years to his credit including 12 years in Govt. organization. He has completed his B.E. from Nagpur University in 1987 and M. Tech. in 1992 from IIT, New Delhi. He has completed his Ph. D. in 2006 from VNIT, Nagpur. He has worked as a Principal, Head of department and as a dean Autonomy at prestigious institutions during last few years. He is a Ph.D. supervisor for Electronics and Electrical engineering in RTM Nagpur University and total 10 students completed Ph. D. under him. He is an IEEE senior member and Execom member of IEEE, Nagpur subsection. He is currently member of board of studies, RTMNU, rewearch committee of Nagpur & Amravati University. He is also on academic advisory board of renowned institutes. He is also life member of ISTE. He has published more than 102 research papers in International / National journals and conferences. He serves on editorial board of reputed journals and technical committee member of reputed conferences. He serves on editorial board of reputed journals and technical committee member of reputed conferences. He has received of Best Educationist Award from International Institute of Management, Delhi in 2012. He has received grant of Rs. 23 lacs from AICTE for research in BCI and industry institute partnership cell. He is a resource person for soft computing domain. His area of interest includes Hybrid intelligence, image processing, Brain computer interface, embedded system, Speech processing etc. He handles several research projects and strongly believes in innovation and creativity.
Chandrashekhar Krishnarao Bawankule was a member of the 13th Maharashtra Legislative Assembly & Minister for Ministry of Energy, New and Renewable Energy Maharashtra, State Excise, and also appointed as Nagpur Guardian Minister on 26 December 2014.
Since its inception in 2008, Governing Council (GC) was established in accordance with AICTE norms. The governing council is formed with an objective to ensure effective, efficient, economical execution of the administration of the college so as to achieve the excellence in technical education as well as holistic development of the students.
Functions:
The governing council would perform the following functions: (a) To monitor the teaching and determine the teaching faculty requirement in the college. (b) To monitor and evaluate the teaching programs in the college and suggest remedial measures. (c) To Approve induction of new courses / programs or closure of existing programs / courses or variation in intake. (d) To discuss and approve proposals from College Development Committee (CDC) formerly known as Local management Committee (LMC). (e) To appoint Principal, the teaching and non-teaching staff on the recommendations of the selection committees constituted under the relevant regulations of the university. (f) To monitor faculty deployment and development, placement and industry-institute interacting activities in the college and suggest remedial measures wherever necessary. (g) To perform such other duties and exercise such other powers as may be entrusted by the management. (h) To ensure the establishment and supervise proper, effective and efficient systems of control and accountability. (i) To monitor institutional performance and quality assurance arrangements. (j) To promote transparency and openness at every level and implementation of e-governance. (k) To discuss and sanction the budget and expenditure.
