JIT contributes to Computer Literacy

Computer Science and Engineering department of Jhulelal Institute of Technology organized a five day workshop “DISHA-2016, a direction towards knowledge” from 7th to 11th November for the fourth successive year. The purpose of the workshop encompassing all the children and ladies of nearby villages was to provide free computer knowledge i.e. introduction to computer, paint, web browsing, Microsoft Office.

Sarpanch of Bailwada Ms. Shobhatai Dhoke was a part of the valedictory function. She motivated the students to study hard so that they can work for the betterment of the society in future. She appreciated the efforts taken by the management and faculty for carrying out this social activity and also congratulated JIT for organizing this program. Bus facility was provided by the college for participants and 120 children attended the program from 4 villages namely, Bailwada, Babulkheda, Lonara and Gumthada village.

The Management of JIT emphasized that the college is continuously striving to expand its reach to the needy children and highlighted the importance of independence in technical areas. The announcement of felicitation of the one who implements the training in best way throughout the year motivated all the children. Toys were distributed to the younger participants at the valedictory function. Chairman, JIT declared that the sports facilities will be provided to all the children of the nearby village. He also declared a prize for the participant who uses the acquired knowledge for maximum online shopping in next year (November 2016 – October 2017). The students were motivated to share the technical skills with the seniors in their families and also to motivate them to participate in such workshops and use the technical skills to the fullest.

Jhulelal Institute of Technology CSE Department students shine in Inter-collegiate Dance Competition

It is said that “Ability, Motivation and Attitude determines how well you do things”. Two students from the Department of Computer Science and Engineering of Jhulelal Institute of Technology, Ms. Yashika Asnani and Ms. Trupti Godbole have proved this true by bagging runner-up positions in the Intercollegiate dance competition-LAASYA organized on 8th September,2017. The Competition was organized by Sadabai Raisoni Womens College , Nagpur.

The students were rewarded with a trophy and cash prize. The Head of the Department, Prof. Mona Mulchandani along with the faculty members congratulated the students for their achievement and also motivated them to continue with the same spirit and succeed in future.

Jhulelal Institute of Technology organized Workshop on Website Designing & Development

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering of Jhulelal Institute of Technology organized “Workshop on Website Designing & Development” under the students forum- Encypherist-2017. The Website Designing & Development workshop was successfully conducted for the students of all the branches.

The Program was inaugurated by the hands of Dr. Narendra Bawane, Principal, JIT. The objective of the workshop was to train students to make their own dynamic website using Php and Mysql. Few topics that were covered in the workshop included Javascripting and Cascading Stylesheets, PHP & XAMPP, Database retrieval from MySql database. Through the workshop the students also came to know the database connectivity between webpage and back end i.e. MySql. At the end of the workshop, the doubt clearing session was also conducted through which students were crystal clear.

The Forum activity had a tremendous participation by the budding technocrats of all the departments. The workshop was conducted by in-house subject/area experts, Prof. Ajay Karare & Prof. Parul Jha of Department of Computer Science & Engineering. The participation certificates were also given to the student participants.

The Student Co-ordinatators of the Forum Yashika , Roma Gyanchandani, Harmeet Hatwal, Mohit Arora and Nishant Bisen worked hard for the success of the event.
