Jhulelal Institute of Technology, celebrated Rashtriya Ekta Diwas (National Unity day) to commemorate the 144th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.The Event was organized by the students and faculty members of Department of Applied Science and Humanities. The event began with the welcome note by Shristi Bharwani and lighting of lamp by Director HR and Admin, Mrs.Madhavi Wairagade, Director Technical Mr.Pramod Pampatwar, Principal,Dr. Narendra Bawne, Vice Principal, Dr. Debashis Bhowmick. The soul of the event is to recognize the efforts of Iron Man of India who worked hard to make India an United India (Ek Bharat). At last Director Technical and Principal congratulated the student organizing committee for organizing such events and also motivated the students to develop skills for development of Nation. The event was concluded by reciting National Anthem and distribution of sweets. Chairman of SSCT, Shri Maheshji Sadhwani and Secretary, Shri Virendra Kukreja congratulated the organizers for conducting the event.

Jhulelal Group of Institutions celebrated its 10th Foundation Day on August 24, 2018. It was 10th Foundation Day of Jhulelal Institute of Technology and 4th Foundation Day of Jhulelal Institute of Architecture. Dr Debashish Bhowmick gave the opening remarks. Dr Narendra Bawane, Principal JIT urged the faculty to motivate the students to be inquisitive & laid more stress on projects. He urged that the projects to be closely associated with the industry so that the fresh engineering graduates can be more employable and also to think beyond academic curriculum. Prof Ravi Nafde, Principal JIA who recently achieved the Best College for Architecture award by Navabharat EduAwards, declared their ongoing projects in the city and expressed his pleasure for the same and gratitude to the management members.

Senior Director of JIT, Shri Ghanshyamdasji Kukreja was felicitated for appointment as Vice president of National Council for Promotion of Sindhi language under HRD ministry. Various faculty members were felicitated for their contribution to academics like getting projects, reviewing books, up gradation of academic qualifications. Research publication fetching consultation etc. Founder teaching and Non-teaching staff member were also felicitated for appreciation and recognition of their valuable services & contribution towards the growth of Institution. Shri Mahesh Sadhwani Chairman, SSCT in his presidential address congratulated all faculty members and urged to continue contributing towards the betterment of Institution. All the management member & Directors were felicitated on behalf of teaching & nonteaching staff members.

JIT students and faculties attended and interacted with speakers at the 19th national conference on E- Governance which was held in Nagpur on January 21 and 22. The two-day Conference was organized by the DARPG and Department of Electronics and Information Technology (DeitY), Government of India in association with the Government of Maharashtra. The Conference had six plenary sessions on topics such as Governance with Accountability Transparency & Innovation (GATI) for Citizen-Centric Services, Financial Inclusion- Jan Dhan, Aadhaar and Mobile (JAM) and Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT), Urban Governance in Smart Cities, Cyber Security Framework for Citizen Centric Services, Decade of E-Governance- Way Ahead and Technology Enabled Education. The Conference served as an effective forum for IT professionals of the Central and State Governments, Software Solution Providers and the Industry to interact and analyze various solution frameworks. Many new initiatives in E-Governance sector have emerged out of this Conference.
3 rd Year Students of Computer Science and Engineering from Jhulelal Institute of Technology were given an opportunity to attend this conference and to update their knowledge about Technologies which are used to make India “Digital “and to motivate them to work in this field. JIT students could attend the conference with the support of Mr. Raghupathi. N. Cavale, Vice-President and Head of India Business at Infosys, and he also is a member of cooperate advisory board of JIT. During the visit, along with the students Prof Mona Mulchandani, HOD, CSE, JIT, Dr. D. Bhowmick, Vice Principal, JIT and Dr. Pramod Patil, Principal, JIT, Ms. Madhavi Wairagade, Director HR & Administration interacted with Mr. Cavale. Mr. Cavale motivated students to work in the direction of entrepreneurship as youth startups can serve to be most innovative ideas in E- Governance field.
