Department of Electrical Engineering, Jhulelal Institute of Technology organized an Industrial visit to Khaparkheda Thermal Power Plant, MAHAGENCO (500MW) for 5th semester students.

The main objective behind the visit was to make students aware about the power generation process & how various activities related to generation and distribution of electricity are carried out. Also it gives them an insight about the role of engineer at such centre. Students visited plant and electrical section for generation control and also got knowledge about various technologies and softwares used in the plant. The functioning and various aspects related to plant were explained by Process Engineer, Miss. Pallavi Shirsat. Students got immense knowledge and idea about various aspects of power generation & distribution.

The Industrial visit was successful with the extended support of Shri. Mahesh Sadhwani, Chairman, Shri. Virendra Kukreja, Secretary,  Shri. JIT Students visited Sonali Transformers, Nagpur

Department of Electrical Engineering, Jhulelal Institute of Technology organized an Industrial visit for 5th semester students to Sonali Transformers, Nagpur.

The main objective behind the visit was to make students aware about the manufacturing process, quality assurance & performance testing various electrical equipments. It also gives them an insight of the responsibilities of an electrical engineer in field. Students visited the testing & maintenance site & got knowledge about the various testing methods of electric motors, generators & transformers which are manufactured in the plant. The operation and various aspects related to testing of equipments were explained by Mr. K. Chopde, Manager. Students got immense knowledge and brief idea about the plant.

Department of Electrical Engineering, Jhulelal Institute of Technology organized an industrial visit to SMS Vidyut Pvt. Ltd. (Micro Hydro Power Plant), Parseoni Dist. Nagpur on 18th August 2017.

The industrial visit was arranged to SMS Vidyut Pvt. Ltd. especially for 7th semester Electrical Engineering students. The main objective behind the visit was to make students aware about hydro electric power generation and working of the hydro-electric power plant, including the importance of use of hydro-renewable power generation. Students visited (2 X 700 KW) generation power house. The students actively participated in the demonstration of the working of kaplan turbines, penstock section, synchronizing machines, the control units and various other equipments and technologies being used. A new avenue was added to their scope of research and application, which may give them a broad perspective for their career development.

    The industrial visit was arranged to Industrial Robotics department especially for 7th semester Electrical Engineering students. The main objective behind the visit was to make students aware about various industrial applications of robotics and automation, including the importance of various automation processes using latest technologically developed hardware. Students visited the pick-up robot cell and automatic industrial welding robot cell which helped them to analyze the importance of automation. The students actively participated in the robotic demonstration and their technical and non-technical queries were resolved by the expert.
