Jhulelal Institute Students visited Sonali Transformers, Nagpur

Department of Electrical Engineering, Jhulelal Institute of Technology organized an Industrial visit for 5th semester students to Sonali Transformers, Nagpur.

The main objective behind the visit was to make students aware about the manufacturing process, quality assurance & performance testing various electrical equipments. It also gives them an insight of the responsibilities of an electrical engineer in field. Students visited the testing & maintenance site & got knowledge about the various testing methods of electric motors, generators & transformers which are manufactured in the plant. The operation and various aspects related to testing of equipments were explained by Mr. K. Chopde, Manager. Students got immense knowledge and brief idea about the plant.

Jhulelal Institute Students visited MAHAGENCO, Nagpur

Department of Electrical Engineering, Jhulelal Institute of Technology organized an Industrial visit to Khaparkheda Thermal Power Plant, MAHAGENCO (500MW) for 5th semester students.

The main objective behind the visit was to make students aware about the power generation process & how various activities related to generation and distribution of electricity are carried out. Also it gives them an insight about the role of engineer at such centre. Students visited plant and electrical section for generation control and also got knowledge about various technologies and softwares used in the plant. The functioning and various aspects related to plant were explained by Process Engineer, Miss. Pallavi Shirsat. Students got immense knowledge and idea about various aspects of power generation & distribution.

JHULELAL STUDENTS GOT 1ST PRIZE IN MAYOR INNOVATION AWARDS 2019

The project prepared by final year students of Electrical Engineering Department, Jhulelal Institute of Technology was adjudged as best innovation & bagged 1st positions in Mayor Innovation Awards organized by National Municipal Cooperation, Nagpur with prize of Rs.21,000/- by the hands of Hon’ble Shri. Nitin Gadkari , Union Cabinet Minister for Road Transport & Highways, Govt. of India. All videos of the project will be on one YouTube channel and will be promoted here, but also through the web, with targeted views by https://themarketingheaven.com/buy-youtube-views/. The title of the project was “Automatic Solar Panel Cleaning System”.

The mechanism is designed with the help of motors, rolling push back system & IOT for removing the dust in the PV modules to improve the power efficiency with was the main problem statement covered under literature survey. A cleaning assembly operates to clean a surface of the solar panels. A support frame supports the cleaning assembly and enables the cleaning assembly to move upwardly and downwardly in the width direction of the solar row, and in the length direction of the solar row.

JIT students received 1st prize in Project competition

The project prepared by final year students of Electrical Engineering Department, Jhulelal Institute of Technology bagged 1st position in Project competition organized by Gurunanak Institute of engineering & Technology, Nagpur. The title of the project was “Electric Wheelchair”.

 

This project is related with Android phone controlled wheel chair system by using Android App and voice recognition. This System is designed to control a wheel chair by using the android app and voice recognition. The main objective of this project is to facilitate and increase the movement of people who are handicapped and elderly people who are not able to move the wheelchair faster because of their disabilities.

Two days workshop on “Introduction to MATLAB”

Jhulelal Institute of Technology’s Department of Electrical Engineering organized a Two day workshop on Introduction To MATLAB” on 05 & 06 February 2019.  Prof. Piyush Patil, Asst. Prof., YCCE Nagpur & Staff from JIT, Nagpur were the resource person. Workshop emphasized on various tools and their working with practical conditions in electrical subjects. The students were enriched by his vast experience and knowledge. The workshop received overwhelming response from students.

Department of Electrical Engineering, Jhulelal Institute of Technology organized Industrial visit to Lokmat Press, Butibori on 12/01/2019.

Industrial visit was carried out at Lokmat Press, Butibori especially for 4th Semester students of Electrical Engineering. The main objective behind the visit was to make students aware about how various activities related to solar energy are carried out in various places and give them an insight in working of engineer at such Solar power Plant. Students visited  the plant and Electrical Section for solar panel Control and also got knowledge about various Technologies and Softwares  used by solar centre. The functioning and various aspects related to solar power plant were explained by Industry Expert. Students got immense knowledge and brief idea about the plant.

JHULELAL STUDENTS UNIVERSITY TOPPER IN RTMNU B.E 7th SEMESTER EE EXAMINATIONS

The students of  Electrical Engineering Department, Jhulelal Institute of Technology made the institution proud by securing merit positions in 7th sem B.E. RTMNU Examination                                 Mr. Kundan  Maroti  Malwe secured 3rd  position, along with  Mr. Satyam Tiwari &                      Ms. Rupali Dnyaneshwar Ukey by  secured 11th & 12th  position  respectively.

Industrial visit was carried out at KEC Ltd. Butibori especially for 8th & 6th Semester students of Electrical Engineering. The main objective behind the visit was to make students aware about how various activities related to transmission and distribution of electricity are carried out in various places and give them an insight in working of engineer at such centre. Students visited  KEC Training Centre and Electrical Section for transmission Control and also got knowledge about various Technologies and Softwares  used by distribution centre. The functioning and various aspects related to KEC Centre were explained by Industry Expert Mr. Manish Sahane, (Training Engineer, KEC, Butibori). Students got immense knowledge and brief idea about the plant.
