Third semester students of Jhulelal Institute of Technology, department of Electronics & Telecommunication visited Parle G at Umrer Road, Nagpur. The students were enlightened about the history of the Parle industry and how it evolved into an international brand. Jhulelal Group of Institutions celebrated its 10th Foundation Day on August 24, 2018. It was 10th Foundation Day of Jhulelal Institute of Technology and 4th Foundation Day of Jhulelal Institute of Architecture. Dr Debashish Bhowmick gave the opening remarks. Dr Narendra Bawane, Principal JIT urged the faculty to motivate the students to be inquisitive & laid more stress on projects. He urged that the projects to be closely associated with the industry so that the fresh engineering graduates can be more employable and also to think beyond academic curriculum. Prof Ravi Nafde, Principal JIA who recently achieved the Best College for Architecture award by Navabharat EduAwards, declared their ongoing projects in the city and expressed his pleasure for the same and gratitude to the management members.

Research publication fetching consultation etc. Founder teaching and Non-teaching staff member were also felicitated for appreciation and recognition of their valuable services & contribution towards the growth of Institution. Shri Mahesh Sadhwani Chairman, SSCT in his presidential address congratulated all faculty members and urged to continue contributing towards the betterment of Institution. All the management member & Directors were felicitated on behalf of teaching & nonteaching staff members.

In continuation with the tradition of securing university ranks, the students of Jhulelal Institute of Technology, Nagpur have brought laurels to the college this year also by securing meritorious positions. The students have performed exceptionally well as ten students have secured nine ranks out of the top ten university ranks in the second semester M.Tech VLSI (CBCS) Summer 2018 examination. Ms. Amber Sana Shamshad Sheikh has ranked first at the university level while Ms. Kajal Dhawale has ranked second. Ms. Divyani Shende is third, Ms. Rekha Sharma is fourth while Ms. Neha Chauhan has secured fifth position. The sixth rank is shared by Ms. Subhashini Sarode and Ms. Anjum Nuzhat.  Ms. Tanushree Khorgade has ranked seventh, Ms. Shumaila Khan is ninth and Ms. Shriya Rahate has secured the tenth position. It is a matter of great joy, honor and pride for JIT as it has continued its legacy of securing top ranks in various engineering university examinations. The students were enlightened about the electrical power generation, its transmission and distribution. They also got acquainted with the various equipments used in the process like generators, the wind mill, turbines and also the process of power generation through windmills. The students had a brief discussion with the officers and engineers of the plant. It was an incredible and unparallel experience for all the students.

It was a golden opportunity for the third year students of Jhulelal Institute of Technology, department of Electronics & Telecommunication, when they recently paid a visit to Tata Aeronautics Limited (TAL), MIHAN, Nagpur. The students visited the plant wherein the Advanced Composite Floor Beams (ACFBs) are manufactured and supplied to Boeing, a leading aircraft manufacturing company. Mr. Shubham Lonare, Assistant Security Officer, gave an outline as to how the beam is manufactured and what are the various stages involved in the process. Some processes were even demonstrated upon and a brief insight into the raw material, software, machinery, quality assurance, precautions and environmental monitoring was given.
