Industrial visit was organized for V semester Mechanical Engineering Students of Jhulelal Institute of Technology, on 25/08/2018 at TAL Manufacturing Solutions Limited Aerospace Business Unit, Sector 3, MIHAN SEZ, Nagpur.  TAL was established in the year 2000 in Nagpur to manufacture Automotive, Heavy Engineering and composites for aerospace. It has 18 years of experience of manufacturing the Automotive and Heavy Engineering components.

This Industrial visit helped the students to grasp the practical knowledge related with Manufacturing Process and Automation in Production subject. Mr. Sachin Sovani, HR explained about various sections of the Industry to a batch of 16 students. College Bus left the campus for visit at 12:30 PM and return to college at 4:30 PM.They explained and given valuable information about various sections of Industry in which the major section is Boeing.

In this visit students got hands on experience with composite materials and machining of different parts. In Boeing section students saw different operation going on various machines such as CNC Milling and various precision machines. This industrial visit helped the students to get a practical knowledge to the theoretical once.

The industrial visit was arranged under the guidance of Dr. Narendra Bawane, Principal JIT, Prof. A. W. Kawale HOD Mechanical Engineering Department. The students were accompanied by Prof. Rahul Waghmare and Prof. Chetan Choudhari.

Industrial visit was organized for III semester Mechanical Engineering Students of Jhulelal Institute of Technology, on 31/08/2018 at Heat Treat Well, E 12/ 1, M. I. D. C Area, Hingna, Maharashtra 440028. Heat Treat Well was established in 1991 in Nagpur to treat the metal components. It has 27 years of experience of treating the metal components.

This Industrial visit helped the students to grasp the practical knowledge related with Engineering Metallurgy subject. Mr. Prafulla Jamdar, Director demonstrated and explained about various sections of the Industry to a batch of 36 students. College Bus left the campus for visit at 01:00 PM and return to college at 5:00 PM.

They explained and given valuable information about various sections of Industry in which the major processes are annealing and hardening of steel. Students get hands of knowledge of Heat treatment of steel.

This industrial visit helped the students to get a practical knowledge to the theoretical once.

A guest lecture on “Quantitative Aptitude” was organized for the students of Mechanical Engineering at Class room, JIT on 07/09/18, 03 pm onwards. The resource person was Mr.Atul Anand Koche, Founder and CEO of Mathslab, Nagpur.

 

In this lecture, Mr. Mr.Atul Anand Koche has explained Quantitative aptitude is expected to be an asset to those who plan to appear in any competitive examinations. Though the subject is included in the curriculum of every school but a candidate who comes from Art or Commerce stream or a candidate who is appearing in the competitive exam first time, may feel difficulties in this subject as within a limited period of time student need to solve maximum numbers of questions.  He encourages student to learn math and to develop interest in it. He has given the demonstration of AutoCAD software which is basically used for drafting purpose in industry. Mr. Swapnil M. Udapurkar also demonstrates how to design a Car using CATIA software.  He further elaborated how Mechanical CAD software will help to enhance the Product Design and Development. Report of Re-installation of the Mechanical Engineering Students Body (MECHTRIX)

Aug 31, 2018 a memorable day for the students of Mechanical Engineering, all the Mechanical Engineering department staff and over 120 students of Mechanical Engineering were gathered in the Auditorium. Well before the arrival of guest for the opening ceremony MECHTRIX. Students were busy preparing for this special occasion. Some of them had taken off from their studies to volunteer their time to make this a successful event. And a success it was. This was a culmination of hard work and tenacity of the core committee led by the faculty coordinators and HOD to lead the effort.

After confirming the arrival of Guests at about 11:00 AM, Prof. Bhushan Deshmukh opened the event by welcoming and thanking those who graced with their presence. Mr. Prasad Khedkar Director, Khedkar and Associates Consulting Pvt. Ltd., was the chief guest for the function. Shri Promod Pampatwar, Technicasl Director,JIT, Dr. Narendra Bawne , Principal JIT, Dr. Deboshih Bhomik Vice-Principal, Prof. M W. Shirbhate  graced the occasion by occupying the seat on the dais.

The ceremony started in the traditional way with Saraswati Vandana with lightning the lamp before goddess Saraswati by the Dignitaries. After the lightning of lamp, an anchor briefed about the College, Department and the Mechanical Engineering Students Body MECHTRIX.  Dignitaries on the dais were welcome by offering Saplings. The forum was inaugurated at the Hands of Mr. Prasad Khedkar Director. He addressed the gathering by expressing importance of the forum for students & emphasized the need of organizing forum activities for young generation. He further advice students to become entrepreneur and give ideal for new start up.

Mr.Amit Pandey ,Student President express deepest sense of gratitude for recognizing him to look after the prestigious responsibility. Prof. Amar Kawale, Head Mechanical Engineering narrated the birth of forum from Roman Times and its importance in present scenario Dr. Narendra Bawne addressed the students to prepare themselves in todays competitive world.
