Mechanical Student Pratik Lanjewar creates Lion Sculpture
Sculpture of Make in India LION by Mechanical Engineering Department of Jhulelal Institute of Technology, Nagpur
Jhulelal Institute of Technology’s Fourth Semester Mechanical Engineering Student Mr. Pratik Lanjewar fabricated a model of the Make in India LION out of scrap material. He has worked tirelessly to create the Make in India Lion sculpture as part of our honourable Prime Minister Shri. Narendra Modi’s Make in India campaign. The logo is the silhouette of a lion on the prowl, made entirely of cogs, symbolizing manufacturing, strength and national pride.
Mechanical engineering is the backbone of India’s manufacturing and production sector, as Mr. Pratik Lanjewar has proven by merging his mechanical skills into it. Mr. Pratik Lanjewar has been working on this project since last one month, and this lion is made entirely of discarded material from vehicle engines, such as gears, crankshafts, bearings, clutch plates, and other components. He began his work by fabricating the lion’s raw skeleton body, after which he cut various machine components to his requirements and welded them to the skeleton in the workshop of JIT.
