Gender Equity & Sensitization Programs

College takes initiatives to organize a handful of Gender Equity Programs to make students aware about the equal opportunities and rights of both genders. The following Gender equity promotion programs were organized by the institution:
  • To promote women education taken seminar on be kind to yourself..
  • For generating awareness about the legal rights of women, college organized a session on “Awareness program on various government schemes for legal benefits of Women”.
  • College has organized various awareness programme for staff & students such as Personal Hygiene, Women Entrepreneurship, Sexual Harassment at Workplace, Personality Development & College life with Care & discipline.
  • Every year college celebrates “International Women’s Day” with all students & staff. On account of this occasion, an awareness program was taken regarding investment for women.

SAFETY MEASURES FOR WOMEN ON CAMPUS The college shows gender sensitivity in providing facilities such as:
  1. Safety and Security: To resolve the grievances and complaints lodged by the students and teachers. CCTV Monitoring cameras are installed on the college premises which provide 24 hours surveillance in order to observe the ongoing activities.
 
  1. Common room: Separate restrooms for women staff and students are available. The college provides separate common rooms and washrooms for girls and boys. Girls’ common rooms are equipped with facilities like First Aid Box and other necessary things.
  1. Sanitary napkin Vending Machine and Incinerator:To promote menstrual health of women and adolescent girls, a sanitary napkin vending machine is installed in the girls’ Common Room. The machine can be used by the girls as and when required.  A Sanitary napkin Incinerator is also provided for the proper disposal of the napkins.
  1. Counseling: It is arranged by the college for girl students in three major areas i.e. counseling related to academics, career and behavioral patterns. The counselor counsels the student on issues like personal, psychological, emotional problems and difficulties. It helps them to deal with stressful or emotional feelings and to inculcate the positivity in them. Students are encouraged to join NSS, Rotaract and participate in co-curricular and extracurricular activities.
  1. Complain Box: Positioned on each floor intended to collect any suggestions or complaints.
